SPRING, Texas – An elderly couple was on board a plane that had a hard landing at Hooks Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
The FAA said the single-engine Piper PA-24 had a brake problem after landing on the south end of Runway 17-Left. After touching down, it veered off to the side.
A Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper told KPRC 2 that the pilot was a man in his 90s and the passenger was his wife. The couple walked away from the crash with minor injuries.
We're told the plane is a total loss.
