Students evacuated after fire alarm at Twin Creeks Middle School in Spring

SPRING, Texas – The Cy-Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene after a fire alarm was sounded out at Twin Creeks Middle School Monday afternoon, Spring ISD officials confirmed.

The alarm was reported shortly after 1 p.m. at the school in the 27100 block of Cypresswood at Aldine Westfield.

The incident quickly tapped out and no injuries have been reported.

Spring ISD released the following statement:

"Twin Creeks Middle School was evacuated during the lunch period today, March 23, due to a fire alarm that was triggered by smoke from a microwave in the cafeteria.  All students were safely evacuated and returned to the building at about 1:15 p.m. after it was determined to be safe by the Spring Fire Department. We are very proud of our students and staff for responding quickly and following the procedures that have been practiced in our regularly scheduled fire drills."
