Surveillance video released of suspects wanted in shooting death of tire shop owner

HOUSTON – Houston police have released surveillance video of possible suspects linked to the death of a tire shop owner who was killed Monday at a gas station.

Houston homicide investigators said Bobby Garcia shot in the 13000 block of Almeda Road around 2 p.m.

A witness said Garcia, 38, was the owner of a tire shop next door to the gas station and was a frequent customer at the store.

Garcia's wife said he was the father of two boys, ages 10 and 11.

The owner of the gas station pulled up at the store and began unloading items from his trunk, police said. When the owner went inside to drop some items off, he left the trunk open, according to the Houston Police Department.

Two men in hoodies got out of a light blue Chrysler 200, according to HPD. One of the men started going through the trunk while the other suspect acted as a lookout and a third suspect remained in the vehicle, according to HPD.
