HOUSTON – An accident involving an 18-wheeler slowed traffic to a crawl in north Houston Wednesday morning.
According to Harris County Sheriff's Office, a car cut off the 18-wheeler around 2 a.m., sending the vehicle into plastic barriers at North Freeway and Spring Crossing.

The blow ruptured the driver's side fuel tank and busted open the oil pan.
Crews spent much of the morning cleaning up oil and diesel. The driver did not suffer any injuries.
