HOUSTON – An armored car robbery in northeast Houston put the life of a baby in danger.
It happened shortly at around 10 a.m. Friday outside the Ace Cash Express on Mesa and Linda Vista in northeast Houston.
The FBI says when the Loomis truck courier walked into the building, he was met by two men who were waiting inside.
According to the FBI, one of the men pulled out a gun and ordered the courier to drop the bag.
The FBI says the suspects fired about five or six shots and a customer's vehicle that was parked in the lot was hit.
"It was just crazy," said Kenneth Quinney, whose vehicle was hit by a stray bullet in the parking lot. "I heard gunshots, thought it was fireworks, kids or something."
Officials said no one, including Quinney's infant who was inside the vehicle, was hit by gunfire.
Investigators said the armed robbers did not get away with any cash. They were last seen getting into a newer model, gray Dodge Charger.
Both suspects are described as black men. One is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts. The other suspect is in his 20s with a medium build, dreadlocks and gold teeth.
This incident is being investigated by the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force, which is made up of FBI agents, Houston police officers and Harris County sheriff's deputies.
