SPRING, Texas – A woman was killed Friday in a crash that split her car and a utility pole in half.
Deputies said the woman driving a Honda around 12:15 a.m. when she lost control while approaching a curve along Spring Cypress near Champion Forest in Spring. She ran off the road and slammed her car into a utility pole, splitting the car and the pole in half, investigators said.
The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured.
Deputies are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
