Amanda Goluszka
KPRC 2 Weather Intern
Amanda Goluszka was born and raised in Chicago (Go Cubs!). At a young age, she grew up watching The Weather Channel and Meteorologist Tom Skilling on WGN, which helped her determine what she wanted to do when she was older: become a broadcast meteorologist.
She studied meteorology at the College of DuPage and went on several storm chases during her time there, solidifying her passion for weather.
Being from the north, Amanda has experienced (and studied) all types of weather, including floods, the January 2019 Polar Vortex where daytime temperatures reached -60 degrees Fahrenheit, blizzards, heat waves, and everything in between - even experiencing all four seasons in one day!
Yearning to live in the south and be away from the cold, Amanda moved to College Station almost three years ago where she currently attends Texas A&M University to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology.
