According to police, Scott Paul Mayers, 38, of Alvin, was wanted in connection with a felony narcotics warrant through the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office. At around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, officers found Mayers and attempted to pull him over in a traffic stop. Mayers refused to stop, leading officers on a chase that spanned several miles and neighborhoods. The chase ended when Mayers crashed head-on into a police unit at Kost Road and Fairview Drive.
