Emergency officials said the fire was burning at the Odfjell Terminal Houston facility on Port Road and the shelter-in-place was issued as a precaution. The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said a pallet and hydraulic fluid were burning and that the fire was out. Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said the county’s Pollution Control Department and the Fire Marshal’s Office were monitoring air quality in the area. In a statement, Odfjell officials said the air samples that have been collected meet acceptable air quality standards.
