KPRC 2 reporter Brandon Walker moderated a forum entitled “The State of School Safety,” which was hosted by the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday.

Authorities say a white, 18-year-old gunman in military gear who was livestreaming with a helmet camera opened fire with a rifle at a supermarket in New York state, killing 10 people and wounding three others.

A concert coming to Houston is providing us all an inside look and understanding of how those who are deaf “hear” music. Emceeing the event will be KPRC 2 reporters Brandon Walker and Taisha Walker. The ReelMusic concert is free and open to the public. It will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the Bayou City Event Center located at Knight Road.

In January of 2020, KPRC 2 reporter Brandon Walker was hit by a truck in a crosswalk. He was severely injured and doesn’t remember much of that night. A few weeks later he learned a high school senior and Eagle Scout came to his rescue before an ambulance arrived. Walker and the young man have remained in touch ever since.
