Nike filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in federal court on Monday against the company that released a controversial customized version of the sportswear giant’s sneakers in collaboration with rapper Lil Nas X, according to NBC News. The “Old Town Road” artist worked with streetwear company MSCHF to release “Satan Shoes” on Monday. The sneakers are modified Nike Air Max 97s — decorated with a pentagram pendant and a reference to Luke 10:18, a Bible verse about Satan’s fall from heaven. Meghan Markle is attempting to protect the identity of five of her friends as her court battle with the Mail on Sunday and Associate Newspapers continues. The friends in question defended her in a People magazine article last year and have been named in confidential court documents. Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday thinks the friends' identities should not be kept a secret as "their evidence is at the heart of the case," The Telegraph reports. Alex Pullin, a two-time world snowboard champion and Winter Olympian, drowned Wednesday while he was spearfishing in an artificial reef on Australia's Gold Coast. A nearby snorkeler first noticed Pullin's body the morning of the incident and reported it to local authorities. Pullin's accomplishments in the sport include winning gold medals in the cross event at the 2011 La Molina and 2013 Stoneham world championships. Atlanta's mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, has tested positive for the coronavirus, she announced Monday afternoon. Bottoms, 50, said she has not experienced any symptoms of the virus. I have had NO symptoms and have tested positive," she tweeted Monday. "It leaves me for a loss of words because I think it really speaks to how contagious this virus is. Bottoms added that she felt like she was simply experiencing her usual allergies, rather than known coronavirus symptoms.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said late Monday that the U.S. is "looking at" banning TikTok and other Chinese social media apps over national security concerns. In an interview with Fox News Channel's Laura Ingraham, Pompeo said "we're certainly looking at it" when it comes to banning TikTok and other Chinese apps. "With respect to Chinese apps on people's cell phones, I can assure you the United States will get this one right too, Laura," he said. However, critics point out that TikTok is owned by a Chinese company and would still have to comply with Chinese laws. India has banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok, amid a standoff in the Himalayas with the country.
