Read full article: Hummer slams into power pole, knocks out power in PearlandPEARLAND, Texas – An accident in Brazoria County has knocked out power for much of the west side of Pearland. The wreck happened late Monday morning on Highway 288 and FM 518. Sky 2 aerials showed what appeared to be a Hummer next to a downed power pole. The crash knocked out a transformer and emergency crews are on the scene. CenterPoint Energy hopes to have power restored soon.
