A version of this scenario inspired 24-year-old software engineer Rashiq Zahid to created McBroken, a new website that tracks whether the ice cream machine at every McDonald’s is working or not. For the first time in eight years, three new baked goods join the fast-food franchise’s menu: apple fritters, blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls. McDonald’s website says each new menu item will be available all day at participating restaurants nationwide. The tasty options will be offered alongside McCafé cookies and pies. “McDonald’s has been famous for our savory breakfast menu for almost fifty years,” said Linda VanGosen, the restaurant’s vice president of brand and menu strategy. “We’re continuing our breakfast innovation by adding tasty new sweet options with our new McCafé Bakery lineup.

Last year, Popeyes leaned into the spice with its viral spicy chicken sandwich, but now the chain is upping its dessert game. Popeyes is tapping into its New Orleans roots and plans to roll out chocolate-stuffed beignets. And they’re only available at certain restaurants, according to Thrillist. The fast-food chain says its sweet pastries will come in a variety of serving sizes: three for $1.99, six for $3.99, and a dozen for $7.49. Folks on Twitter are already buzzing about the fast-food restaurant’s new addition.

HOUSTON – Taco Bell is dropping the Mexican Pizza from its menu on Nov. 5. The company said the Mexican Pizza packaging accounts for over 7 million pounds of paperboard material per year in the U.S. Taco Bell is also removing shredded chicken for its menu, meaning no more Shredded Chicken Soft Taco, Shredded Chicken Burrito, and Shredded Chicken Quesadilla Melt beginning on Nov. 5. Guests can still order Fresco Style, which swaps out nacho cheese sauce, shredded cheese, mayo-based sauces, and low-fat sour cream with tomatoes. Taco Bell is also introducing two new menu items: the Chicken Chipotle Melt and Dragonfruit Freeze.
