Houston police have released body camera footage from officers who exchanged gunfire with a woman who opened fire at celebrity pastor Joel Osteen’s Houston megachurch earlier this month before she was gunned down.

Houston Police say Genesse Moreno went into the church at about 2 p.m. with her 7-year-old son on Sunday, Feb. 11. She had an AR-15, and she began shooting in the hallway. Two off-duty law enforcement officers approached her and returned fire, killing her.

Lakewood Church pastor Joel Osteen praised the church's security team and law enforcement for the response to the shooting at the church last week. He also talked about where he was at the time of the shooting.

Lakewood Church is having its first Sunday services, since a deadly shooting took place at the megachurch one week ago.

The first in-person church services will be held at Lakewood Church since a woman walked into the Houston megachurch and began shooting.

Officers said they also found a Neo-Nazi book and several other items inside the home.

Officials with the City of Conroe have released audio of several 911 calls to KPRC 2 Investigates in connection with the woman tied to the Lakewood Church shooting.

As the investigation continues in Sunday’s Lakewood Church shooting, questions still remain about Genesse Moreno’s past, including a documented mental history.
