A search is underway for a suspect after police said a woman was hit as she took out the trash in southwest Houston Tuesday. HOUSTON – A motorcyclist miraculously survived a crash that ended with him being dragged a half a mile down the East Freeway Tuesday, police said. According to officers, the motorcyclist was riding with a group when he sped up and lost control. Police said he hit a vehicle and fell off the motorcycle, which caught on fire. That’s when police said a white Chevy pickup truck hit him and dragged him down the East Freeway. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

HOUSTON – Deputies said they are on the lookout for a dark-colored Dodge Ram pickup truck with front-end damage after a bicyclist was hit and killed Sunday night. Deputies said the incident happened at around 9 a.m. on Seven Mile Lane and William Tell Street in northeast Harris County. According to investigators, the truck went around a car that had stopped to make a turn and ended up hitting the bicyclist, then fled the scene. Deputies said the bicyclist died at the hospital. HOUSTON – Charges have been filed against a hit-and-run suspect who was involved in a deadly crash in north Houston Wednesday night, police said. Police, along with the Houston Fire Department, said they responded to reports of the incident at 7100 Airline Dr. at around 7:25 p.m. When officials arrived at the scene, they said they found a man’s body under a vehicle. Palacios changed lanes, accelerated through the intersection and struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene, authorities said. According to police, a witness traveling behind the suspect’s vehicle followed the truck and observed its bumper and license plate fall to the ground.
