Concordia Lutheran volleyball is looking even scarier than before with the recent addition of Klein Collins transfer Carleigh Schluter. Over the weekend, the 5-foot-9 setter from Woodlands Revolution officially committed to play for Sam Houston State University when she graduates in 2025.

KATY — In a Week 2 53-43 win at Clear Springs, Tompkins showed it can win a game on its offensive skill. On Saturday, however, the Falcons got back to who they are, a physical, playmaking defensive-minded team.

District 15-6A will go through the spin cycle this season as several stars cycle out to the college game.

Coach Chris Griffin leads a Klein Collins team that has had some great talent over the years. Powers was the QB for the football team and can lead a band of brothers. Josh Rivas will help on the mound and in the infield, while Kenny Burleson will flash the leather in the middle infield. If Powers can implement a football mentality with this bunch, the Tigers have some staying power. Friday night, volleyball fans, students, and parents flooded into the College Park gym to cheer on the Lady Cavaliers for the second time this season. Following a victory against Kingwood Park on Tuesday night, the JV team was looking for another win against Klein Collins. During the 2nd set, the girls were able to bounce back from the challenges they faced during the 1st set and defeated Klein Collins 25-12. This win concluded the hard-fought match of the night and cheers rumbled through the gym as the girls celebrated. This successful match is only the beginning of a victorious season for the Junior Varsity team.

When sports came to a screeching halt, school was forced into the home-online version, that didn't keep athletes from getting individual workouts in to stay in shape.
