Saturday afternoon, Flower Mound Marcus baseball faced off against Lake Travis in the Texas High School Baseball Classic at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. With a two-hour time limit for each game for the event, the Marauders finished the game in a 3-3 tie with the Cavaliers.

Over the weekend, Fort Worth Nolan Catholic's girls soccer traveled south to Georgetown, Texas to participate in the Governor's Cup hosted by Georgetown High School. The Lady Vikings were able to walk away from the tournament undefeated. With a hat trick from senior forward Laci Earixson, the Lady Vikings were able to begin the tournament with a 3-1 win over Rouse on Thursday. Friday, the Lady Vikings took on Lake Travis. With an first half goal from Earixson, Nolan Catholic pulled off held Lake Travis to a draw.

Who can get to the UIL state final four from Central Texas? 1 Lake Travis is the only remaining undefeated UIL volleyball team in the Austin area. 3 Pflugerville Hendrickson produced one of the Austin area's best second half finishes in the 2020 high school volleyball regular season. 4 Austin High won its last five regular season games to set its 17-3 record before the postseason. From Lake Conroe to Possum Kingdom Lake to Lake Travis, kids and adults of all ages have been eaten up with wakesurfing over the summer. Wakesurfing. Meet Perry Morrison, a junior at Southlake Carroll High School, who is riding the wave of the sport's popularity. "I got into the sport when I was six or seven-years old," Morrison said. The Lake Travis multi-sport athlete is about to start her senior year of high school and her SMU commitment solidifies her status as one of the top volleyball recruits in the Austin area. That allows Texas high school volleyball fans another opportunity to see her take the court for Lake Travis. "The benefits of playing at a high-profile high school like Lake Travis is the competition," said Wheeler. I think playing at Lake Travis will definitely prepare me for college volleyball because of the mental toughness required to play the sport, especially...with such a competitive atmosphere." If everything goes as planned during the 2020-2021 school year, you'll also see her high school encore during the 2021 track season.

ARLINGTON – The emotional season came to an end for the Woodlands Highlanders in disappointing fashion as the team lost in the state championship game, 41-13 to Lake Travis. The Woodlands came into the 6A Division I title game undefeated after persevering through tough circumstances when one of their teammates Grant Milton suffered a brain injury during an early round playoff game. Thousands of fans made the trip from the Woodlands to Arlington for the game, showing tremendous support for Milton and his family. His familiar number 21 jersey t-shirts could be seen throughout AT&T StadiumPlayers wore socks with Milton’s number 21 displayed and their helmets had number 21 stickers on them as well. It was the second state title appearance for the Woodlands, who last played for the championship in 2003.
