Read full article: Passenger killed during drive-by shooting along North Sam Houston Tollway, police sayHOUSTON – A man sitting in the passenger side of his girlfriend’s vehicle was killed during a drive-by shooting Monday in north Houston. The shooting was reported about 12:55 p.m. on the westbound side of the North Sam Houston Tollway near Ella Boulevard. Police said 21-year-old Carl Somerville was the passenger of his girlfriend’s Mitsubishi Outlander when someone in a white Chevrolet Cruze fired several shots into the Mitsubishi, hitting Somerville several times. Somerville was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
