Jessica Springsteen and the U.S. equestrian jumping team came up just short of Olympic gold, falling to Sweden in a jump off that still left the Americans with a record 10th medal in the event.

Sweden captured its first team show jumping gold medal since 1924 after riding an intense jump-off just 1.3 seconds faster than the U.S.

Riders say a life-size sumo wrestler positioned next to an obstacle on the Olympic equestrian course may have distracted several horses in qualifying for the individual jumping final.
