One month ago today, a car crashed into a nearby pipeline in Deer Park resulting in an explosion and massive fire.

Residents in the Deer Park area are finally able to return home as progress is made on the pipeline fire that erupted after an SUV drove over a natural gas pipeline, causing an explosion.

The fire is getting smaller (slowly) but streets are still closed and some families are still out of their homes.

Amber Leal was at work and noticed video of large flames on the TV. A pipeline fire was in full force in Deer Park. She noticed the cross streets on the screen were in the East Meadow neighborhood.

Sky 2 our KPRC 2 helicopter hovered over the pipeline fire the following morning after it was reported and found the flames were still shooting out.
