"I couldn't be happier for them," Fort Bend Christian Academy coach Jordan Black said. "I really got to know Jimbo Fisher and Coach [Josh] Henson, so I'm excited to join the 'Maroon Goons'. "I think it's a big deal to represent private schools and Fort Bend Christian," Strickland said. Fort Bend Christian Academy is anticipating to have even more players sign come February's National Signing Day event.

As Strickland goes through this fall, the recruiting process will be different for the senior than any previous signing class in probably the history of college football. Strickland has put Fort Bend Christian Academy on the map when it comes to the recruiting ranks, especially now getting a Big 10 Conference blue-blood on his radar.
