Ryan jumped out to a 10-0 lead then Cedar Park followed up with a touchdown and two-point conversion to make it 10-8. Ryan now leads Cedar Park 24-8 with 5:36 left in the second quarter. And when Cedar Hill needed the points the most, Ryan wasn't having it. That’s three turnovers for Cedar Park in the first half.

Denton Ryan fell just short in 2019 dropping 28-22 in the UIL 5A Division I Championship game to Shadow Creek. Since that loss, the Raiders have posted an undefeated season going 13-0 overall and 7-0 to finish first in district. Denton Guyer played a rough game in the 2019 6A Division II UIL State Championship match against Austin Westlake. Since failing to score in the state title game, Guyer has posted an 11-2 overall season finishing second in district with a 5-1 district record.
