After a 15-month investigation, the Baytown Police Department said three people have been arrested in connection to the murder of 16-year-old Shane Hamilton.

In 2012, around 100 Texans under 18 died of gunshot wounds. Last year, that number reached nearly 300.

The family of a 16-year-old boy who was shot and killed at a Baytown apartment complex in January has filed a multi-million lawsuit against the complex for negligence, according to a release.
