A Montgomery County family says their backyard started sinking overnight. Weeks later, they say no one has stepped forward to determine the cause.

Exactly 24 hours later, traffic is back flowing Thursday afternoon on the East Freeway (I-10) after a water main break caused the roadway to crumble.

A sinkhole has led to the closure of all eastbound lanes on the East Freeway (I-10) near John Ralston and Federal Roads in Houston, caused by a water leak impacting the left shoulder of the freeway. The Texas Department of Transportation is addressing the issue, and authorities advise avoiding the area and using alternate routes.
