MONTCLAIR, New Jersey – Looks like squirrels are getting smarter and a little more nuttier. A New Jersey woman was hoping to enjoy her pizza, only to find out that a squirrel got its hands on a slice or two of the pie. The pizza box was left on the porch via contactless delivery from GrubHub, when moments later the hungry squirrel walked over and gnawed a hole onto the box, pulling about two slices out. The woman ran out to find the squirrel with the pizza, yelling at her husband, “That squirrel stole our pizza!”. Fortunately, she was able to get a refund for her delivery from GrubHub, where she ordered the pizza from, according to the New York Post.

"It's actually pretty cool to watch," Lopes says. A few months ago, Lopes hung bird feeders all around his backyard. A few weeks ago, he bought a miniature picnic table and put it next to the one he and his family uses. They're actually pretty funny to watch," says Lopes. HOUSTON – A squirrel in Denver has tested positive for bubonic plague, Colorado officials say. The squirrel was found in the town of Morrison, and is the first case of plague in the county. The plague is caused by the bacteria Yersinia pestis, and can be contracted by humans and household animals if proper precautions are not taken, authorities say. Cats are highly susceptible to plague and may die if not treated promptly with antibiotics. Dogs are not as susceptible to plague; however, they may pick up and carry plague-infected rodent fleas.
