A man who shot and killed his girlfriend Sunday night in front of a police officer, later setting her home on fire, has been found dead, according to the Sugar Land Police Department.

An investigation is underway after a catalytic converter theft suspect was killed in an officer-involved shooting Thursday, officers with the Sugar Land Police Department said.

The two children that were reportedly taken by their father under “suspicious circumstances” have been found safe Thursday morning.
