Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine tried unsuccessfully to convince a federal judge not to send him to jail, calling him “bro” and insisting he never meant to violate the terms of probation from a felony conviction.

Authorities say rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was assaulted by several people at a gym in Florida.

The rapper's attorney said three or four people attacked him while he was in a sauna.
