An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead inside an apartment in east Harris County Sunday.

A woman was shot by Harris County Sheriff’s deputies in her apartment as they were investigating the report of a burglary.

When Harris County Sheriff’s deputies unloaded more than a dozen bullets into an apartment in East Harris County one man was as close to the gunfire as one could be.

A woman who was shot by deputies responding to a burglary call had broken a window at her own apartment trying to get the key.

An investigation is underway after a wrong-way crash left at least one person dead on Beltway 8 southbound near Woodforest in east Harris County Sunday morning.
