We are officially in Week 4 of the Texas high school football season and in the private school world and there has been a bit of a shift up top of the rankings.

Tensions were high as The Woodlands Christian Academy moved up from TAPPS Class 4A to Class 5A.

The 2021 TAPPS baseball playoffs are in full swing with opening-round games happening earlier this week.

The Second Baptist School baseball team is in full flex mode, taking down The Woodlands Christian Academy 12-0 in a district game last night. Pitcher Bryce Calloway was dealing on the mound with 10 strikeouts and hit a home run, and had three doubles at the plate. Road to the Title: TWCA captures 7th state crown in program historyThe Woodlands Christian Academy is the king of men's basketball again. On March 13, TWCA defeated Fort Worth Christian 60-47 to capture the program's 7th state championship and the first at the TAPPS 5A level. HOUSTON – Flight Night is an annual tradition like no other at the Second Baptist School. The Second Baptist School women's' team was the first on the docket, trying to protect a perfect district mark. "This was a big win, I think we came out excited and hyped because it was Flight Night," Olivia Walker said. With the womens' game in the books, the men went toe-to-toe with the defending TAPPS 4A State Champions. The Flight Night tradition continued, and both SBS teams played hard for their community.

The Woodlands Christian Academy moves up a classification after winning the TAPPS 4A State Championship last spring. It's early, but the Warriors are up to their winning ways again - beating 6A power Concordia Lutheran on Tuesday 63-59 to go 5-1 on the season. Check out a VYPE Gallery by Justin Hartojo.

The Woodlands Christian Academy celebrated senior night on Tuesday as it faced off with Second Baptist School in a district showdown. The Warriors ended up winning the match 3-0 to improve their season mark to 9-4 overall. VYPE Media's Bradley Collier was on hand for the senior night and captured some awesome images! HOUSTON - The Woodlands Christian Academy took home the boys and girls team TAPPS 5A District 6 Championships this past weekend for the fifth and sixth consecutive years, respectively. It was an absolutely dominating performance by the boys, led by Ben Shearer - who owns the third-fastest time in the nation - as he finished first with a time of 15:51.58. Right behind him finishing second through fourth was teammates Josh Mueck (16:18.58), Zachary Bagnoli (16:38.92) and Caleb Bigler (16:41.52). On the girls side, Lindsay Worthington, Fern Shirley, Zoe Calamani and Camille Young all finished in the Top 10. Worthington stood on the podium with a third-place finish posting a time of 12:49.77, while Shirley was right behind her in fourth with a time of 12:54.89.

Frassati Catholic traveled over to The Woodlands Christian Academy on Tuesday to battle it out with the Warriors. The Falcons fell short 3-0 to the Warriors but it was a hard-fought match. VYPE Media's Bradley Collier was on hand for the match. Check out some of the best images below!

Frassati Cross Country came to compete in the first meet of the season at the Woodlands Christian Academy on Saturday. Ashlyn Miller won the girls varsity race, leading from start to finish, and securing her win by over 20 seconds in a field of 70 runners. Grace Delahoussaye, Mary Maggio, Lucy Simon, and Denise Simon earned points for the team, helping the Lady Falcons to a fourth place team finish in the varsity race. Thomas Langley had a stellar performance in the boy's varsity competition and earned a medal for his 15th place finish in a race with over 80 competitors. Jack Miggins, Andrew Langley, Nate Bartsch, and Fede Celis all scored and earned points for the men's team.

With me being here, it allows for his coaches to solely develop their athletes on the field. Walker played soccer at Bay Area Christian and in community college before finishing his exercise science degree at Baylor. Good teams have a plan and great teams have systems of development'," Walker said. "The things in life that are most impactful and enjoyable are the things you work hardest for," he said. It was a clean sweep at the VYPE Awards as the Warriors was the Private School Team of the Year, Tanner Field was the Coach of the Year and Bakari LaStrap was the Player of the Year. HOUSTON – A teacher at The Woodlands Christian Academy is accused of an inappropriate relationship with an 18-year-old female student, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities and school officials were notified of the accusations on Dec. 13, 2019. Cunningham was placed on administrative leave from the school, officials said in an email to parents. “The safety of our students is our top priority,” school officials wrote. Through training, policies and promoting a nurturing and professional culture at The Woodlands Christian Academy, our employees learn the high standards and expectations we have of them regarding their interactions with students.
