An animal cruelty investigation is underway after a Yorkshire Terrier had to be euthanized after suffering a broken neck from being thrown down a stairwell while in a kennel.

A Dickinson woman said she is haunted by images of her Yorkshire Terrier being ripped apart by two pit bulls right in front of her.
