Police are searching for two introducers who broke into an art museum and used a motorboat to escape. The incident occurred at the Bayou Bend Museum on Memorial Drive around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night. “I’ve seen alligators in this creek and snakes and stuff that’s risking it right there,” resident Matthew McElroy said. The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, which runs the Bayou Bend Museum, said no one was harmed and no works of art were damaged.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said the usual festival along Buffalo Bayou will not happen this year, but a concert by the Houston Symphony Orchestra and other artists will be streamed live and aired on television. There will be no live audience at the concert, Turner said. “Watch it on television, in your backyard, on a balcony,” Turner said. Turner encouraged anyone who is around others while watching the fireworks to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
