Mayor Sylvester Turner will announce his plan to address illegal dumping in some Houston area neighborhoods on Wednesday afternoon.

Houston city council approved Tuesday an increase in fines for illegal dumping, the secretary’s office confirms.

HOUSTON – A group of neighbors has had enough of the illegal dumping plaguing their northeast Houston community. Residents say the dumping needs to stop. “For the amount of trash it was, I couldn’t believe that this was in my city,” Mosco said.
