Almost seven months since a big pipe burst during the February freeze and one Houston woman is still waiting on repairs so she can get back into her home. She reached out to KPRC 2 Investigates when her insurance company seems to have disappeared. While digging for answers, our Investigates team was shocked at one response we got from the company.

The February winter storm of 2021 covered much of Texas under a blanket of snow and ice causing billions of dollars in storm damage. Broken water pipes ruined homes. Many people called their insurance companies and began repairs. But that did not happen for everyone.
