Police responded to reports of a shooting around 2:25 p.m. outside a Target at Memorial City Mall. The incident happened around 9:20 p.m. Sunday inside the Macy’s, authorities said. When authorities arrived, they confirmed there had been no shots fired and the loud sound was breaking glass connected to the smash-and-grab. Oscar Julithe was working at Starbucks inside the mall when the commotion broke out. It is not clear what the thieves were targeting or if they were able to make off with any merchandise.
