Sheletta Brundidge said four of her family members were found dead and one was seriously hurt from carbon monoxide poisoning after the storm. After the family survived the monster hurricane that was Laura without any issues, far-flung family members thought the worst was over. Rosa’s husband Charles was found in critical condition and rushed to the hospital.

In the aftermath, Judeah was comforted by a book written by Houston-native author Sheletta Brundidge. She too has a story to tell and Brundidges book made her want to share hers. Publisher Lily Coyle, illustrator Darcy Bell-Myers, and Brundidge are now helping Judeah write a book of her own.
