Fort Bend Marshall has become a powerhouse in 5A Texas High School football, always in contention for a State Championship run and having athletes develop into college prospects.

Fort Bend Christian Academy traveled to Midway ISD’s Panther Stadium on Friday with one mission in mind: Repeat. It was only a year ago that FBCA Track & Field was celebrating its State Championship acquisition, and they haven’t slowed down since.

After narrowly losing in the State Championship last season, the girls’ basketball team from Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy is back with a “State Title or Bust” mentality.

The Buffs made it to the State Championship game in 2018 and 2019. They were Regional Finalists in 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2020.

Everybody’s ready to go.”The Davis brothers have taken center stage for the Tigers this season, as Jalen and Seth have led Katy to a score differential of more than 400. Of Hays’ 10 wins, four of them have come within seven points or less. Katy’s one loss was close (24-19 to Katy Tompkins), but all 11 wins have been by two touchdowns or more. “Katy is about winning state championships and that’s what we’re trying to do,” said safety Dalton Johnson.

It was a foggy night, but sight wasn't going to be the biggest factor on the field. With the drum being the cadence for the team and the snap count- the team found a way. And again, to open the fourth quarter, the Rangers score again. The Rangers, a team and coaching staff full of opportunities to make excuses, instead go find a way to make it happen. What an exciting way to make history as this is the first ever State Championship for TSD and we look forward to many more!
