According to the Houston Chronicle, black metal barricades separate the dancers from the cars and some of the dancers are wearing face masks. The club has a menu featuring pizza, nachos, burgers, chicken sandwiches, jalapeno poppers and more. “We’re trying to get a restaurant license so we can open up as a restaurant and then we’re able to have people in here,” DiLollo told the Chron. We’re trying to adapt to the times and whatever cards we’re being dealt.”So far, Vivid is the only strip club in Texas with a drive-thru.

This decision represents the latest legal decision between Trump Inc., the company that operates the club, and the city of Houston. Greg Abbot clarified Tuesday that sexually oriented businesses may only offer restaurant services and prohibited from providing any other services, according to court documents. Since Onyx Houston operates as a “sexually oriented business, they are prohibited from offering both restaurant services and entertaining, even if the entertainers are fully clothed,” U.S. District Judge Vanessa Gilmore wrote in the order Friday. The suit also named — the Houston Police Department, the Houston Fire Department, and unnamed police officers and fire department officers — as co-defendants, according to court documents.

While adult entertainment venues are not on the list of businesses allowed to reopen Friday, restaurants are, and so Club Onyx says it will reopen as a restaurant with “featured Entertainers." The club says it will follow all the state guidelines and health recommendations of social distancing and maintaining hygiene. We will have sanitary stations(hand sanitizer gloves, masks) available for all customers and staff who will be practicing the state sanitary guidelines,” the club wrote on Instagram. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has stressed that if a business is not listed in the governor’s order, it is not allowed to reopen Friday.

The girl, who’s identified as “Jane Doe” in the suit, had a mental capacity of a 13-year-old when the alleged trafficker brought her to the strip club. The girl was introduced to the club in September of 2017, the suit says. “At the time of the events at issue, Jane Doe was a developmentally disabled and severely emotionally disabled teenager who, as a result of her disabilities, had a developmental age that substantially lagged her chronological age,” the suit reads. It’s unclear if strip club leadership was aware of the teenager’s true age.
