A 17-year-old boy was killed and another teenager was injured in a shooting Thursday night in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The Texas Rangers have made an arrest in a 42-year-old cold case. On April 13, the Rangers arrested 68-year-old Larry Allen West for the murder of 18-year-old Carol Joyce Deleon. He was taken into custody at his residence in San Antonio.
Charges have been filed against a man who fled the scene after causing a crash that killed his 17-year-old passenger, according to Houston police.

The gun that was used during an accidental shooting Wednesday that killed a 16-year-old boy had been stolen during a break-in the night before, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
