HOUSTON – Have you ever wondered why so many flights are delayed? Well it turns out your carry on luggage could be to blame.
Ever since 2008, when airlines started charging passengers for checked bags, airlines have seen an increase on more carry-on luggage.

The results of all those extra bags are longer lines, packed overhead compartments and boarding delays.Â
However, one airline is looking to change all of that by charging fliers for oversized carry-on bags. Alaska Airlines said passengers with items exceeding the free carry-on limit are being charged $25 per piece.
