Central Oregon Under Air Quality Alerts as Wildfires Continue to Burn -- Storyful
Central Oregon Under Air Quality Alerts as Wildfires Continue to Burn An air quality alert was extended for parts of central Oregon until Tuesday, August 15, as the Bedrock and Lookout fires continued to burn. The Lane Regional Air Protection Agency issued extended an air quality advisory for eastern Lane County through Tuesday evening as smoke from the wildfires was expected to make the air quality unhealthy in some areas. The spread of both the Lookout and Bedrock fires led to additional evacuations on Monday. A red flag warning was active on Tuesday for areas within Lane County, with high temperatures and dry air making fire conditions worse, the National Weather Service said.
