Gas station clerk killed during robbery in southeast Houston
A Houston gas station clerk was shot and killed during a robbery on Wednesday morning. The murder occurred shortly after the employee opened the gas station located at 6600 Mykawa Rd. in southeastern Houston. The incident was reported at 10:55 a.m., and authorities said the victim was already dead when they arrived at the scene. KPRC 2′s Bill Barajas spoke with Houston Police Department officials on Wednesday afternoon. They told him that they have no information to share on the suspected shooter at this time, but they will provide more after they have viewed the surveillance footage from the store. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, but HPD says he was a Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 30.
