$2,500 reward offered after memorial statue honoring Kipper Mease stolen from Pasadena park
A bronze statue honoring a young baseball player who passed away in 1982 has been stolen from the Kipper Mease Sports Complex in Pasadena, leaving the community devastated. The sculpture, created by artist Bridgette Mongeon and donated by the Mease family, memorialized Kipper, who passed away in a car accident while returning from college as a sophomore at Sam Houston State University. The statue was reported stolen on Sunday, Dec. 8, after being sawed off at its base.
