Aurora glows green and purple in Wyoming sky
A vibrant green and purple aurora lit up the sky above Wyoming on Sunday night, April 23, as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) observed severe geomagnetic storms across North America. Footage from Sonal Karnik shows what they described as “dancing pillars of light” as seen from Egbert, Wyoming. The NOAA said the geomagnetic storms were caused by a coronal mass ejection from the sun on Friday and rated the severity of the storms at G4. Credit: Sonal Karnik via Storyful
