Harris County Hurricane Harvey recovery by the numbers

HOUSTON – Five months after Hurricane Harvey's rains led to catastrophic flooding across the Houston area, numbers relating to Harris County's recovery have been released.

Here's a look at the numbers provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, with all totals through Jan. 19.

Billions of dollars ($4.9 billion) have been release to survivors recovering from Harvey. However, county and Houston city leaders are still waiting for more than $81 billion in recovery relief from the federal government.
