HOUSTON – The forecast for Southeast Texas calls for heavy rain and the possibility of widespread flooding starting Thursday night through Saturday evening.

Courts & County Offices
Harris County: Courthouses are open, but dockets for civil, criminal, family and juvenile district courts are canceled. Litigants should contact their individual courts to reschedule. Juvenile detention hearings moved to 9:30 a.m. Jury call is canceled Friday, but jurors who are currently in a trial need to contact their individual court for instructions. Department of Education and all tax offices are closed on Friday. Clerk's Office is closed.
Houston: The city of Houston municipal courts will close at 6 p.m. Thursday and will resume normal business hours on Friday. People with court settings on Thursday night will be given the opportunity to reset their cases. There will be no trials on Thursday night and no parking adjudication hearings. Commencements
Houston Community College: Postponed until 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. May 17.
Lone Star College: Commencement ceremonies scheduled for Friday will be held with the exception of LSC-Tomball, which will be rescheduled.
Prairie View A&M University: The commencement rehearsal scheduled for Friday has been canceled. Commencement exercises scheduled for Saturday will be moved indoors to the William “Billy” J. Nicks Building (Baby Dome) and will begin at 1 p.m.
San Jacinto College: Postponed until 7 p.m. May 17.
Texas Department of Family and Protective Services: Party for foster youth graduating from high school or obtaining their GED has been postponed. A new date has not yet been announced.
University of Houston: Commencement ceremonies for both Friday and Saturday are postponed until next week. Information is forthcoming.
Sports
The Astros have not announced any changes to the schedule for the four-game series against the Rangers that begins Thursday. They said any changes to the schedule will be announced on the Astros social channels.
Other Events & Offices
BakerRipley: Community Centers, Central (main office), Senior Centers, Dementia Day Center and Workforce Solutions Clear Lake Office closed Friday.
Friendswood: Friday Night’s Concert in the Park with Sarah Grace is canceled, with no make-up date. Saturday’s Youth Fishing Derby is postponed until Saturday, May 18 from 8:30-11 a.m.
