While it has been a breezy Thursday overall, we’ll finally see the wind back off tonight but that also means we’re in store for a quick cool down with temperatures dropping into the 50s and 40s!
Cold Friday morning:
As high pressure builds in tonight the winds will calm and the temperatures plummet. Some of our far northern cities will be near or at freezing. In the Houston area we’ll range from the mid-30s to lower 40s. Similar temperatures are expected Saturday morning too. Thankfully, the wind will have backed off so there won’t be as much of a wind chill to deal with as you step out the door.
Chevron Houston Marathon Sunday:
A cool and pleasant start to the race is good all runners. A southeast breeze will increase the humidity and temperatures as the race goes on.
Martin Luther King Day Monday:
Our next front is expected Monday. We have a small chance of rain for the MLK Day parade with a slightly higher chance of rain in the afternoon.
10-day forecast:
A couple of really nice winter days going into the weekend with cool mornings and sunny afternoons. Rain looks to hold off until after the MLK Day Parade in downtown Houston but we’ll stay warm most of next week.
