Storms arrive overnight:

We’re tracking yet another storm system moving in from the west overnight that will bring another round of rain through the morning drive.

The heaviest rain looks to track along our coastal cities between 3am and 8am. Even if you are not in the heaviest rain, most of the area will see some wet weather, making roads very slippery for the morning drive to work and school.

These areas have a risk of street flooding where 2″-3″ of rain can fall. This system will pack a hefty punch for the morning commute for most areas so budget in some extra time if you have to head out before sunrise. The afternoon is expected to be dry, breezy and pleasant, in the mid 60s.

Severe weather threat Monday:

Once the storms are gone Friday, the rest of the weekend looks great! We’ll stay partly cloudy with temps generally in the mid 60s. But Monday is our next severe weather threat. The latest data suggests the storms may move through earlier in the day.
