The winds come from the pressure gradient getting squeezed between high pressure to the east and low pressure to the west. This low with a cold front moves in Monday.

A cold front sweeps across SE Texas Monday late morning through the late afternoon.

There is a low chance for severe thunderstorms in Houston. The best chance for scattered strong to severe storms will be west of Harris County.

The flood threat is east of Houston. Northeastern cities have a low threat for possibly street flooding and more hail. We’ll keep you posted on how weather pattern evolves.

Houston does not have a flood risk Monday. However, counties mainly north I-10 and west of 45 have a low flood threat.

After Monday we get seasonable temperatures with a slight warm up at the end of the week.
