The clouds have taken over the forecast for the next few days and with a steady south wind, we’ll stay mild, muggy and breezy for most of Saturday night into Sunday. I don’t expect temps to take much of a tumble, generally staying in the 70s through Sunday morning.
Our first round of rain is expected Sunday. This will be the beginning of a stormy weather pattern lasting through Wednesday of next week.
Solar Eclipse Trouble Monday:
Monday’s eclipse forecast looks cloudy and possibly rainy in Houston. Along the path of totality there is hope for enough clearing to see the eclipse. But the forecast is for clouds to impact viewing.
Severe weather possible after the eclipse:
Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning thunderstorms form. These storms will be scattered but because the cold front won’t clear the area until mid-week, we will likely see a chance for afternoon storm flare ups on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
10-day forecast:
We get back to dry weather Thursday of next week. The forecast for next weekend’s Crawfish Festival looks great!
