A small craft advisory goes into effect this evening for our coastal waters. Winds will be from the SE at 20-30kts with seas 6-9ft. This will cause hazardous swimming and boating conditions. The advisory is in place through 7PM Friday night, but will likely be extended through the weekend.
Tonight will once again be cloudy, muggy and mild with lows in the lower-70s.
Friday’s Forecast:
We are tracking a small chance for rain on Friday afternoon. The highest chance of seeing showers and storms is to the north and west of the Houston area. Friday will be cloudy, humid and windy with highs in the 80s.
Weekend Forecast:
I do not have any rain in the forecast to start the weekend. The cool front that brings storms doesn’t arrive until Sunday afternoon. On Sunday we could get strong thunderstorms that bring street flooding. More storms are possible Monday and Tuesday too.
10-Day Forecast:
We head into a drier weather pattern as we start the month of May. We are still waiting on that first 90° day of the year and it looks like we’ll be close Saturday of next week.
